Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Township Engineer to conduct residential and commercial plan reviews and inspections. The ideal candidate will possess a BCO certification and have a deep understanding of UCC and ICC code regulations.
Responsibilities:
+ Reviewing building plans and ensuring compliance with UCC/ICC building codes and regulations
+ Issuing permits for construction, demolition, and occupancy
+ Conducting building inspections to ensure construction is done correctly and complies with UCC/ICC codes and regulations
+ Responding to complaints or concerns from the public regarding building safety and code compliance
+ Inspecting public and private properties to enforce zoning regulations and building codes
+ Issuing citations and warnings for violations of regulations and codes
+ Responding to citizen complaints about potential violations and taking appropriate action
+ Working with property owners and businesses to ensure compliance with regulations and codes
+ Maintaining records of inspections, violations, and other enforcement actions

Work Environment
