Job Description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at G&A. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. Under the guidance of the IT Manager, you will support and maintain our hardware and software systems and provide vital technical assistance to our staff and stakeholders.
Experience and Skills
Maintain and support the agency's hardware and software systems under the guidance of the IT Manager and System Administrators.
Install and configure computer systems and networking components.
Provide prompt technical assistance for issues related to systems, software, and hardware.
Resolve technology-related concerns for clients, vendors, and agency staff through various channels such as chat, email, and phone.
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
Enhance IT procedures and policies.
Administer third-party applications and websites.
Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with company policies.
Train staff members in system applications and promote technological adaptability.
Develop and maintain information systems documentation.
Keep comprehensive records of help desk system issues and remedial actions taken to ensure timely resolution.
Liaise with vendors or technicians for service in case of major hardware or software problems or defective products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in an IT support role or relevant experience.
CompTIA (A+, Sec+, Network +), Microsoft (MTA), or any relevant certification is a plus.
Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10/11 and macOS.
Basic understanding of network protocols and standards (like TCP/IP), routers, switches, etc.
Working knowledge of CRM platforms (Applied EPIC, Salesforce) is a plus.
Experience with remote troubleshooting techniques.
