Title Clerk - Springfield Hyundai
We are seeking a meticulous Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Automotive DMV/Title laws performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as titles, registrations, license plates, and other vehicle or owner information. The title clerk also helps with inventory tracking, record keeping, and reporting.
Job Description
Ensures the company's tag and title work meets state requirements.
Prepares and submits all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles (DMV).
Manages vehicle documentation, including tax and title information, registrations, etc.
Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
Process DMV paperwork for new, used and wholesale vehicles for the dealership.
Correspond with finance department & customers daily.
Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the controller at the end of month.
Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar position. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
Requirements MUST have at least 1 year of Automotive DMV Clerk Experience (ONLY AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE NEED APPLY).
PA, NJ & DE title experience required.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a face paced environment.
Highly professional and dependable, good attendance required.
Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working with Dealertrack online processing preferred.
Knowledge of commonly used automotive dealership practices, concepts and procedures is a must!
Knowledge of Dealertrack Dealer Service system strongly preferred, but not required.
The ability to work independently as well in a team environment is a must.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
