A multi-unit hospitality (Hotel) group has a great opportunity for a dynamic CFO with experience in the Hotel/Lodging.
Competencies
Direct or coordinate the organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and work with operational units to increase overall efficiency.
Hire and lead employees and vendors performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, audit, tax, and budgeting duties.
Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization.
Oversee / Manage the preparation of all financial statements, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Compare and report sales, revenue, and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make/oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Work with the COO and Owner to coordinate annual planning and establish priorities for the company for the coming year.
Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
Lead Capital Markets approach for the company, identifying resources and potential funding partners for future lending capabilities.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (required)
Master’s Degree in Business Administration - MBA (preferred)
10+ years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience in Financial Services, Consumer Lending, Banking, or B2C Service industries
Demonstrated leadership experience through the full cycle of startup, growth, development, and disposition/exit – M&A experience preferred
Experience with warehouse lenders and credit facilities, bringing established banking and industry connections to help drive future lending activities
Proficient executive leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
Experience with financial systems, fintech, KPI reporting, and business intelligence
High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Expert level of written and verbal communication skills
High level of professional discretion, trustworthiness, confidentiality, and executive representation
