Inventory Analyst

Summary:
The Inventory Analyst maintains inventory accuracy and integrity across the JD/Finish Line enterprise while identifying process improvements. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
Supports the IC and PI team on shrink / inventory movement analysis and investigation.
Execute time studies with a continuous improvement mindset
Identify and Implement process improvements and partner with IT when necessary
Report and communicate weekly shrink metrics
Reviews and provides recommended changes directly tied to business operations inventory controls, procedures, and tools at department and/or store level.
Creates reports and dashboards to maintain and increase inventory accuracy across the supply chain. Examples include pick accuracy ($ and unit), virtual location summaries, DC to store billing validations, distribution center (DC) shrink slides, etc.
Performs daily and weekly adjustments to maintain inventory accuracy.
Troubleshoots issues by executing ad hoc data queries, data mining and detailed analysis with minimal guidance.
Maintains technical process and procedure documentation for Inventory Control.
Monitors and maintains inventory accuracy through the supply chain and uses independent judgement to take appropriate corrective actions to ensure inventory integrity.
Report and communicate store compliance for shipouts
Oversee commonly used team applications such as PIRT, Service Line, APOE (IC/PI screens, KPI board)
Partner with other Supply Chain areas and relevant business partners for company initiatives such as Reservations and Launch product.
Secondary contact for technical inventory related issues (for example: Manhattan issues, PeopleSoft issues)
DC and Store Shrink Budget
Internal Audit Lead / Data Validation
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Management, Finance, Business Administration or other related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3-5 years’ experience in inventory control, loss prevention, or Finance, preferably in an analyst function. Proven work experience in data analytics, data mining, process documentation and technical writing. JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred.
Required Computer and Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Knowledge and experience using SQL to query databases. Data mining fundamentals required. Microsoft Visio experience preferred.

The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting. Job tasks and responsibilities may require exposure to a moderate to loud warehouse setting
