Job Overview: The Sr. Specialist Data Scientist is a dynamic role that bridges the gap between business challenges and technical solutions. This position involves a comprehensive workflow that includes data extraction, cleansing, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, model development, tuning, interpretation, and deployment. The successful candidate will be adept at translating complex business problems into actionable insights through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Apply statistical design of experiments, including factorial, response surface modeling, Plackett-Burman, central composite designs, and Box-Behnken, to validate proofs of concept in a production environment.
Guard against selection and emergent bias, ensuring the integrity of simultaneous trials without interference.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of both basic statistical concepts and the theoretical foundations of advanced techniques.
Design, build, and analyze large and complex datasets from diverse sources, with strategic consideration for data utility and architecture.
Show proficiency across a range of algorithm categories, such as Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Optimization Algorithms, Deep Learning, AI-Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and more.
Exhibit coding proficiency in at least one core data science language (e.g., Python, R, Scala, SQL) and familiarity with leading ML packages and libraries (e.g., SciKitLearn, Pandas, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
Possess knowledge of cloud AI technologies and the ability to implement AI solutions within a guided architecture.
Effectively communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an expanding understanding of data technologies and analytics, contributing valuable insights and solutions to our business.
Education & Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics.
Preferred: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a quantitative discipline.
Typically requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, with exceptions made for candidates holding advanced degrees.
