Seeking an Operations Research Analyst for mission-level combat modeling to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and mission-level models/tools like System Effectiveness Analysis Simulation ( SEAS ) or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling ( AFSIM ) is required.
Responsibilities:
Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
Work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
Required Skills and Experience:
Master of Science degree in operations research or a theoretical science field
7 years of experience (or 3 with a Ph.D.)
Experience conducting end-to-end combat modeling & simulation analyses at the mission level
Experience with SEAS and/or AFSIM
Willingness to learn and employ campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level models
High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well as part of a team
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
An active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience:
PhD in Operations Research or a theoretical science field
Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
Experience with STORM or other related models
Experience with Java, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Python
Experience with data transformations and data visualization
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
Experience with BI Tools
Experience with Excel VBA
