About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Litigation to lead its global legal function. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor and business partner to executive leadership, with overall responsibility for managing the litigation department of a large, NYSE-listed global company. This role involves leading the litigation team in a variety of U.S. and international government contracting, construction, and personal injury litigation and arbitrations. The Vice President will also be accountable for the strategy, management, and execution of critical litigation matters, including the oversight of outside counsel, budget management, and ensuring that the company's interests are vigorously protected.Applicants must have at least 15 years of litigation experience, with a minimum of 10 years managing a team of attorneys and legal professionals. Significant substantive experience in areas such as U.S. government contracting litigation, EPC/EPCM litigation, and experience with intellectual property, personal injury, or international arbitration is highly valued. The role requires a leader with exceptional communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The Vice President will also be responsible for developing and maintaining productive working relationships, providing training on legal matters, and overseeing the insurance claims process. A JD and a license to practice law in the state of residence are essential, and foreign language skills are a plus.
