**Your Opportunity**
Stantec is seeking to hire a highly motivated, ambitious, Transportation Roadway Engineer (EIT) in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations. The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway, highway, trail, and transit projects, in urban and rural settings, located in Virginia as well as other areas of the Mid-Atlantic region.
This position also offers office location flexibility with several options throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region to choose from including Virginia Beach, Richmond, Williamsburg, Fairfax, Hampton Roads, Charleston, WV, and Laurel, MD.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform Roadway, Highway and Trail geometric design.
+ Model projects in MicroStation using the latest software (OpenRoads)
+ Prepare construction documents and cost estimates
+ Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction
+ Work with a collaborative group of Stantec experts to meet client expectations.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Experience in Transportation Engineering: 3 to 6 years’ experience.
+ Proficiency with Microstation OpenRoads (ORD)
+ Knowledgeable of AASHTO design manuals and guides
+ Familiarity with VDOT Roadway design standards
+ Good oral and written communication skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
+ Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
+ Professional Engineer’s License (PE) preferred.
