The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world–class organization that has an opening for Research Associate – Media Preparation near Boston, MA !
Responsibilities :
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare high–quality media, buffers, and reagents, ensuring that all preparations meet strict quality control standards.
Prepare high–quality media, buffers, and reagents according to a set schedule and special requests.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and guidelines related to reagent and buffer preparation.
Track and document the shelf life of media mixes, planning for regular re–preparation as needed.
Perform quality control testing to ensure products are free from contamination and are correctly formulated.
Qualifications :
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, or a relevant discipline OR
Associate's Degree in chemistry, biology, or a relevant discipline with 2+ years of laboratory experience OR
High School Degree/GED with 5 years of laboratory experience
Experience:
Media and reagent preparation experience within a laboratory environment.
Basic understanding of the chemistry of buffer preparation, including titrations and reactions.
Additional Details:
Onsite position
Position type: 6 months contract opportunity
Pay rate: $28–$30/hr depending on experience
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
