As our Warehouse Lead at The Black Tux, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching Warehouse Associates. With a lead-by-example mentality, you will hold yourself and your team accountable to achieve daily goals. In this position, you may support multiple areas of the warehouse and be asked to learn new functions to support the changing needs of the business.
What You'll Do
Lead a team of 3 to 40 associates throughout the year during our peak seasons
Review and execute floor plans by management to meet daily goals
Complete start of shift meetings with teams daily to go over performance metrics, daily goals, safety tips, quality standards, and more
Review and update associates hourly on TPH performance to ensure floor plans/daily goals are being met
Make callouts to management staff on any unsafe practices within the operation to ensure the safety of all employees
Work with cross-functional partners in other departments to balance backlogs coming from the departments
Notifies the inventory ambassador and/or lead about the shortage of any supplies required to conduct the work
Follows the standard operating procedures and notifies the manager in case of any challenges performing the function as documented in SOP
Provides real-time coaching on safety, quality, behavior, or performance standards according to our TBT policies and values
Grow your ambassador to be able to take on the next level within leadership following TBT guidelines
Notifies your manager immediately about any consistent quality defects that are occurring and proactively plan to find a real-time solution
Understand and be able to learn industry-specific technology
Complete end-of-shift reports as required within the leadership team and speak to any misses within your department
Perform all other duties as assigned
Who You Are
2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
Previous experience in management or a leadership position
Fast and efficient while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and high attention to detail
Naturally curious to understand themself and their work better
Understands general warehouse concepts such as 5S, Lean, PPE, MSDS, Root Cause Analysis - Korber knowledge is a plus
Collaborative nature both when working with others and taking on a project
Takes pride in punctuality for themselves and their team
Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Sheets and/or Excel, Google Docs
English verbal and written skills required, bilingual a plus

$21.01 - $22.17 an hour
The Warehouse Lead role is onsite at our Gardena warehouse.
The base hourly rate for this position will be $21.01 - $22.17/hour, compensation may vary based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and location. The Black Tux defines compensation plans using market data aligned with comparable companies at a similar stage and size as ours.
