The Company's second program surrounds its Targeted MyeloidEngager and Phagocytosis Platform, a proprietary bispecific antibody-based technology thatprovides a novel mechanism of action to selectively engage myeloid cells for (1) targeteddepletion of pathologic cells and other disease-inducing agents and (2) inducing localizedimmunostimulation. The engagement of antigen presenting cells has the potential to elicit asustained, durable response.

About the Opportunity: Dren Bio is seeking a highly qualified expert in antibody engineering & drug discovery tolead the Biologics Group. The Biologics group is responsible for various functions criticalfor drug development such as: antibody discovery, molecular biology, cell line engineering,protein engineering, biophysical analytics, and functional cell assays. This position willneed to bridge expertise in protein/antibody engineering and biology to drive projects fromearly exploratory work to clinical POC for the myeloid engager platform workingcollaboratively with other functional team leaders at Dren.

Role and Responsibilities: Lead efforts in antibody development, antibody engineering, bispecific andmulti-domain antibodies for therapeutic programs at Dren Bio

Utilize multiple strategies for antibody discovery such as hybridoma screening,B-cell screening, phage display to select and optimize top antibody candidates foraffinity and other properties

Design and execute protein engineering strategies to deliver developable biologicsformats by applying molecular biology, structure-guided, computational,combinatorial/display approaches

Lead and mentor an antibody engineering and molecular biology team of scientistsresponsible for designing, generating, and characterizing antibody andbi/multi-specific antibody based therapeutics

As a key member of Dren's cross-functional drug discovery team collaborate withimmunology, process sciences, preclinical pharmacology teams to expand and advancethe pipeline of candidates from Dren’s myeloid engager platform

Lead technology development in antibody engineering and contribute to broadeningDren’s intellectual property portfolio

Hire, manage and develop a team of scientists/research associates fostering anenvironment of creativity, a strong work ethic and teamwork

Develop and manage operating budget

Education, Experience and QualificationRequirements: PhD in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, structural biology or related fieldand 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience

Demonstrated record of scientific know how and accomplishments (publication andpatents)

Core Competencies, Knowledge and SkillRequirements: Deep expertise in antibody generation utilizing a wide range of technologies such ashybridoma, single B-cell screening, phage display etc.

Demonstrated experience developing bispecific and multi-specific antibody formats

Experience in designing and implementing plate based and cell based screening assays

Familiarity with performing developability/manufacturability assessments forselection and optimization of antibodies and antibody formats

Experience using bioinformatics tools for sequence and structure analysis

Proven leadership skills with mentoring and leading teams in therapeutic antibodydevelopment

Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced project team environment, meetdeadlines, and prioritize work across multiple projects

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salaries, Benefits and Other Employee Perks: Dren Bio strongly believes in investing in, and rewarding, its employees. The basepay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $195,000and $275,000 per year. At Dren Bio, pay ranges are determined by role, level(s), andlocation. The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hirepay for candidates located across all United States job markets. Within the range,individual pay will be determined by work location and additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
