As a Business Development Manager specializing in outside sales, you’ll play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Outside Sales Emphasis : Focus on engaging with customers in-person, conducting face-to-face meetings, and visiting client locations to understand their needs firsthand.
Account Management : Manage and nurture existing accounts through regular site visits, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross selling.
New Business Development : Proactively prospect and identify new sales opportunities in the premium countertop market. Conduct market research and attend industry events to expand our client base.
Sales Strategy : Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the outside sales environment, including route planning, territory management, and maximizing face-to-face interactions.
Relationship Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Network effectively to generate leads and referrals.
Product Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our premium countertop product range during in-person meetings and presentations. Showcase product features, benefits, and advantages over competitors to persuade potential clients.
Requirements Outside or Territory Sales Experience : Proven track record of success in outside sales roles, preferably within the building materials, interior design, or construction industry.
Strong Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and delivering compelling sales pitches.
Self-Motivation and Drive: A self-motivated and ambitious mindset is crucial for thriving in an outside sales role, where autonomy and initiative are key.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments, weather conditions, and client schedules while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Working Conditions:
Extensive Local Travel: Regular travel within your designated territory to meet with clients, attend appointments, and participate in industry events.
Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends and overnight trips as needed to accommodate client meetings and events.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and withstand exposure to diverse weather conditions during travel.
Requirements:
+3 years of successful sales or business development experience.
Knowledge of building materials or interior design industry preferred.
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Excel.
Valid driver's license required.
What We Offer:
Base salary ($80,000 - $85,000) plus quarterly bonus opportunities.
