About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the Director of the Logistics Readiness Center located in Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Responsibilities Direct all maintenance, supply, ammunition, food service, laundry, transportation, property accountability, clothing, and other related logistical activities. Coordinate and direct logistics mobilization planning and seek new mobilization initiatives. Develop and recommend establishment of local procedures to govern logistical operations and management of resources. Direct the formulation and management of the directorate-operating budget. Assist in the development and programming of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) input requiring planning and coordination throughout the directorate and other brigade personnel. Assign, direct, and evaluate work of the subordinate organizational elements. Implement policies on administration and personnel management and training and utilization. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning and/or directing multiple logistical activities such as maintenance, supply, transportation, and property accountability; 2) Determining funding and/or manpower requirements; 3) Providing guidance on logistical policies and/or procedures; and 4) Leading projects and/or personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Leadership Managing Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
