Pride Health is hiring a Nuclear Medicine technologist to join our client’s healthcare team all over EVERETT, WA. This is a Contract Position with our client’s reputable healthcare organization.
JOB SUMMARY:
A Nuclear Medical Technologist is a healthcare professional specializing in the use of radioactive materials for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures. They operate imaging equipment to produce images of organs and tissues to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. These technologists adhere to strict safety protocols for handling radioactive materials and ensure the proper administration of radiopharmaceuticals. They play a crucial role in patient care by providing accurate imaging studies and assisting in the management of nuclear medicine procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Utilizes established scanner protocols tailored to the specific needs of each patient and the prescribed examination.
Adheres strictly to radiation safety protocols, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of Facility Radioactive Materials (RAM) licensure, radiation exposure management for patients, staff, and the public, utilization of personnel monitoring devices, conducting area radiation monitoring and surveys, and proficiently handling radiation decontamination in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
Demonstrates expertise in working with radiopharmaceuticals, including accurate selection, ordering, safe handling and preparation, storage, disposal, and meticulous documentation of radioactive materials.
Proficiently administers oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals and standard adjunctive medications as authorized, while also assisting authorized personnel in the acquisition and administration of therapeutic radionuclides.
Upholds the cleanliness standards of nuclear camera equipment and related apparatus, ensuring compliance with infection control policies and procedures at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
Completion of a course in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for registry eligibility.
Possession of current NMTCB and/or ARRT licensure.
Active Washington (WA) state license or pending application.

6 AM - 2:30 PM
8 AM - 4:30 PM
9 AM - 5:30 PM
Salary range : $26/hr. to $30/hr.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
