Available Roles:

PRN Night Psych RN: two 12-hour shifts; no required weekends or holidays, 7p-7:30a (can float to all three psych units: Adult Inpatient Psych Unit, Child & Adolescent Psych Unit, Psych ED)

Psych ED Unit Highlights

Specialized psychiatric

emergency unit, located within the Main ED.

Patient are triaged

through the Main ED & brought to crisis unit if psychiatric care is needed.

RNs care for them &

complete assessments as the patients wait for evaluations.

Adult & pediatric

patients are treated.

Security has a strong

partnership & presence with the unit

Baltimore County officer

stationed with the Main ED.

Staffed with psychiatric

counselors and RNs.

Cross-training to adult

inpatient psychiatric and Child & Adolescent Psych Unit provided.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.

Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred;  at least two years of inpatient psychiatric RN experience strongly preferred.

Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
