General Summary
The Site Leader for the multi-divisional R&D manufacturing plant will play a pivotal role in overseeing all operations, ensuring
efficiency, safety, and quality across Campbells' Snacks and Meals & Beverage divisions. This role requires a seasoned leader
with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive continuous
improvement and growth. This position is the principle executive for R&D operations within the R&D organization and is
responsible for the execution of both short and long term projects and strategic initatives across the R&D function, supporting
both business divisions. Oversees management of all Pilot Plant operations to ensure key plant objectives are met; this includes,
but it is not limited to, safety, quality, security, cost, customer service and employee engagement. This individual must possess
the ability to be a strategic business partner with divisional senior management, corporate leadership, and other stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership are required, as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement and personal
development utilizing individuals from various levels and functions within the organization, as well as innovative tools and
approaches. Key competencies include strong execution of the Campbell Soup Leadership Model (inspire trust, create direction,
drive organizational alignment, build organization vitality, execute with excellence and produce extraordinary results).
Principal Accountabilities
20% - Provide strategic direction and leadership to establish, plan, and implement initiatives to achieve business goals.
Maintain effective communication channels with divisional senior management, corporate leadership, and other
stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives.
20% - Accountable for strategic planning process, P&L, enterprise business process, training and innovation enhancement.
20% - Develops strategies to ensure company, divisional, and plant goals are attained for safety, sanitation, quality, schedule
attainment, employee relations, employee development, and operational reliability
10% - Implement and support key initiatives including TPM, DDS, TDC, and other continuous improvements directives as it
relates to the goals of the organization
10% - Staff Development - Attract, retain, and develop plant leadership talent to assure successful implementation and
performance of manufacturing operation.
10% - Develop strategies for capital investment and manage capital projects and assets
5% - Governmental/Environmental Regulations - Directs efforts and assures plant is adhering to environmental regulations,
and permits including all local and federal license requirements (CCMUA, OSHA, NJ EPA, etc...)
5% - Ensure adherence to all FDA and USDA requirements
Job Complexity
Expertise in a broad range of food manufacturing technologies and business acumen supporting the manufacture of snack
foods and thermally processed food and beverage products.
Provide leadership in the organization and execution of operational policies and procedures which deliver considerable
flexibility and variability while attaining Federal and Company standards and regulatory requirements.
Engineering designs, prioritization, execution and completion of high profile R&D projects and programs that directly
impact the business.
Provides an active productive environment for the feasibility and validation of R&D projects enabling business units to
meet or exceed timelines for all top line projects and programs.
Launch high priority projects and programs from the R&D stage into retail manufacturing.
Lead change management for Snacks pilot plant relocating to Camden New Jersey and develop new ways of working within
existing M&B pilot plant organization.
Build brand power and company strength by channeling and headlining developmental projects and programs from the
drawing board into tangible, manufacture-able products.
Development and execution of strategic capital plan supporting innovation pipeline
Leverage thermal plant network program and systems (i.e.: reliability, safety, quality, etc...) to deliver top quartile results
Create process (collaborating with Snacks Supply Chain and QA) to package for sale (FDA-compliant) snack foods made
within the Camden Snacks pilot plant
Direct line reporting to M&B R&D Vice President and a dotted line reporting structure to Snacks R&D Vice President
Job Specifications
Minimum 10 years of increasing manufacturing management or comparable related technical/engineering experience in a
food manufacturing facility (Supply Chain environment)
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related studies, required. Master's
degree preferred
Highly skilled in development and management of workplace safety and food safety and security
A solid understanding of food processing, sanitation, and microbiology based on food manufacturing facility experience.
High level of personal initiative, self-driven, action and results oriented
Ability to provide vision, leadership and execute change
Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines
Skilled problem solver and the ability to successfully resolve conflict
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication both oral and written, team player, generates enthusiasm and builds
effective working relationships at all levels
Working Conditions
All work will be performed at Campbells WHQ Pilot Plant Facility. Some travel required.

Compensation And Benefits
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$125,500-$209,300
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
