A health services network in New York is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Yonkers.
About the Opportunity:
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse (LPN / RN) will:
Interview patients for health history, including history of current complaint, and past and present use of medication utilizing patient identifies
Maintain patient medical record and chart vital signs, reactions to test, etc.
Prepare equipment and assist the Physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
Instruct patients on healthcare issues, as indicated by physician, diagnosis and/or inquiries by patient.
Assess and triage patients as they present, either by telephone or in person.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide appropriate care.
Attend mandated training and keeps up to date on all nursing procedures including relevant procedures
Qualifications: Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS/CPR certification
Infection Control certification
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
