Role Scope/Summary

The Senior Real Estate Manager is responsible for leading a team and driving execution of real estate portfolio strategy, transactions and administration across Intuit’s multi-million square foot real global estate portfolio. The role will report to the Director of Global Real Estate.

Directly manage multiple people and display significant leadership of real estate function

Lead a team to accomplish favorable outcomes while regularly dealing with a high level of unknowns and vague or uncertain transaction factors.

Proactively work with senior management with little direction/approval required from Director/VP for all types of transactions and real estate activities

Lead and influence beyond your function and have a high impact on the organization

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee execution of real estate strategy in collaboration with key leaders to ensure the real estate portfolio is aligned with company’s overall strategy in all aspects of site selection, acquisition, and disposition.

Monitor strategy/trends of existing real estate market and align decisions with context and knowledge of external market to company’s strategy and focus

Develop and manage budget compliance for a global real estate portfolio

Own the business outcomes in your area

Ensure end to end assessment and inclusion of factors impacting real estate transactions and projects

Identify and articulate opportunities to protect and accelerate business based on understanding of trends

Conduct all types of transactions; acquisition/disposition, owned/leased

Drive implementation of highly complex multi-year real estate projects

Continually focus on most favorable company P&L impact

Integrate knowledge of architectural/engineering/legal/financial/talent to decisions

Lead confidential M&A diligence/integration for parent organization

Functional Skills

In addition to the technical skills required for the role, you will:

Build win-win alliances

Establish relationships with the extended team across BU and FG boundaries.

Engage with partners at all levels to drive business objectives

Achieve impact through influence even when holding a position contrary to the majority

Implement opportunities to educate and influence partners

Leverages others to validate point of view

Apply the DACE model and appropriate technique to drive decisions with broader impact

Identify decision options and assesses potential impact to various stakeholders from and end to end process perspective

Partner with senior leaders and team throughout decision making process

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration or related fields ; equivalent experience will be considered

10 years experience in Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Finance, Portfolio & Transaction Management

Strong analytical and data skills as well as familiarity with lease accounting (Cash flow & P&L Impacts)

Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills to successfully work with a variety of business leaders and stakeholders both within and external to the organization.

High degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously as well as being pro-active utilizing good judgment and decision-making skills

Change leadership. Possess the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and thrive in a constantly changing business environment. Effectively leads others during times of change.

Familiarity with real estate law

Proficient in basic software platforms (Google Suite, MS Office Suite) and typical lease management platforms

Ability to travel globally required.
