We are looking to hire a key member of our Commercial team in our North America market. Location should be aligned with the major market needs - Southwest, Midwest, East Coast, but open to consideration.

The Business Development Role is an integral part of our commercial efforts to drive the highest performing pavements and to provide solutions to DoTs driven by SBS polymer and modified platforms.

This role is an extension of the Kraton brand in the industry and should seek to become the first call source for road owners as they seek to resolve their various pavement challenges. Identifying and helping to lead innovative solutions in coordination with R&D and commercial teams will help Kraton grow as a solution provider.

Key Responsibilities

Engage the Paving industry to understand pavement demand needs of the individual states

Coordinate with commercial team and R&D to provide direction for innovation and solutions for the pavement industry.

Seek project opportunities where Kraton can be a solution provider through polymer modified platform

Educate the market on HiMA (Highly modified Asphalt) and identify projects where this may provide a solution

Represent Kraton in industry events in an educational capacity of polymer-Bitumen dynamics

Share successes from Road owners to provide possible solutions to DoT's unique pavement issues

Engage with state level contracting and pavement associations to both learn and provide education to the members

Understand trends from the DoT engagement for new pavement solutions in the market and coordinate with the commercial team

Coordinate with Marketing for trade shows, marketing peripherals and innovation efforts

Required Skills Developing key relationships with DoT's.

Pavement industry experience preferred.

Have knowledge and/or the ability to understand Technical aspects to structural pavements

Public speaking and committee engagements.

Ability to coordinate among multiple internal and external groups to drive projects

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex projects.

Education, Certifications & Licenses 10+ years Pavement industry experience in a technical or commercial capacity - essential or demonstrated capability as noted above.

North American Industry knowledge in particular specialty / region.

Bachelors' degree (or equivalent) required, Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
