Technical Project Manager

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead marine service and dry-dock projects from planning through completion. The role is responsible for managing teams, budgets, schedules, materials, logistics, safety, and client requirements while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Manage marine service, dry-dock, shipboard, and land-based projects.

Lead and coordinate project managers, technical leads, contractors, and vendors.

Develop project scopes, estimates, budgets, material lists, schedules, and logistics plans.

Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and performance.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Coordinate purchasing and ensure materials are available when required.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates.

Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Manage project documentation and conduct post-project reviews.

Maintain knowledge of cruise line project and shipping requirements.

Requirements

Proven project management experience within the marine industry .

Strong technical background in marine engineering or a related field.

Experience with GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic/Polymer) .

Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, port operations, and industry best practices.

Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and blueprint reading.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Cruise industry experience is a plus.

Willingness to travel 25-50% globally (150+ days/year) .

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
