About the Opportunity

Datacenter Technician (DMI)

Experience in a financial services environment preferred. Strong communication skills (written and oral).

A solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting and management applications

Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure.

Conduct regular inspections of the data center facility to ensure compliance with safety and security standards.

Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.

Installing support structures (network, storage and enterprise servers, racks, switches, servers, etc.)

Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels

Commission and Decommission of Hardware

Troubleshooting and diagnostics of hardware/connectivity

Familiarity with Patch Panels

Adhere to Change Control Processes

Must be able to perform component replacement (DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies)

Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.

Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Service Now ticketing system

Willingness to respond to network and server errors after hours.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repairs.

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and end-users as needed

Assist with data center capacity planning and expansion projects.

Previous experience working in a complex high availability data center environment providing layer one hardware installation, ongoing maintenance, problem identification and incident resolution

Physical hands on job, able to lift 50 lbs, move servers, walk stairs, climb a step ladder and be on your feet

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
