The Business Analyst I shall coordinate and develops policies, strategies, practices, plans, and procedures to support all functions and processes in DHA.

Responsibilities

Supports projects requiring innovative and unprecedented approaches to resolving highly complex issues through establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Conducts a wide variety of coordination activities that will maximize partnerships between the different departments within the DHA organization.

Serves as functional advisor to assigned program and functional areas; develops presentations, briefing materials, and finished reports on findings and recommendations for management.

Implements project management practices around schedule, budget, risk, resources and communications management.

Performs need analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions.

Provides advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.

Researches complex ongoing and projected programmatic activities.

Reviews information, reconciles conflicting data, and devises new and modified methods to analyze findings.

Recommends strategies to improve implementation and evaluation of programs.

Advises management of unique conditions and issues that affect program activities.

Provides guidance on interpretation and implementation of new or revised legislation, policies, regulations and procedures.

Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of complex program operations in meeting goals and objectives.

Develops modifications, revisions, and implementing procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations monitors compliance with established requirements.

Employs advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management.

Adapts existing analytical methods and techniques to specific issues and develops new approaches to resolve complex productivity problems, issues goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or other IT related field

Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
