Summary

All Native Group is seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to support the Bureau of Medical Services - Logistics and Contract Management. The incumbent shall be experienced with assisting in a variety of administrative matters/shipping and receiving, maintaining a wide variety of records stored both manually and electronically, inventory processes, verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compiling information/and handling customer service issues.

Essential Functions

Receiving, stocking and completing requests for medical and office supplies.

Receiving, registering Filling Metastorm and sending out folder and tabs to the post overseas via pouch requests for office and medical supplies within 2 days of receipt.

Ensures that the vaccines are inventoried weekly and prepares the necessary par level forms.

Ensures that warehouse is always neat and clean.

Recommends to FTE items that are short dated, or in short supply and need replenishing.

Ensures that expiration dates are within an acceptable level for items to be delivered to clinics.

Works to reconcile any discrepancies with orders.

Responding to email requests for assistance.

Ensures that weekly deliveries for pharmacy items and vaccines are made to each clinic in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area (pulls the orders, writes up receiving tickets, arranges for transportation, etc.).

Assists with any emergency requests for medical supplies as needed.

Assist with setting up, assembling, and/or taking down tables, chairs, podiums, etc. needed for functions within the office.

Directs the work of the laborers in office moves, setups, shipping, rearranging the supply cage, warehouse, excess, inventory, etc.

Communicating with customers and vendors via text, e-mail or telephone to assist with order requests and requirements.

Assists with Annual Inventory Reconciliation by scanning and uploading assets into the management system. Locating any missing items and reconciling location discrepancies.

Assists with Asset Management - assists with tagging and entering into the supply management system, any new equipment, also selects items identified for excess in the supply management system and sending to Accountable Property Officer for approval, handles all items for excess and turn in.

Uses subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence.

Selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals or procedures.

Assists in other work areas in order to fulfill the goals of the Bureau's mission

May be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise

Competencies:

Knowledge of supply operations and program requirements and the ability to apply established supply policies, day-to-day servicing techniques, regulations, or procedures

Demonstrated ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care, Management, Sciences, Information Systems, or other related analytical scientific or technical disciplines.

Experience

Five years of logistical experience directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, or other designated program.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience coordinating logistical operations.

Experience providing expert technical advice and developing new and innovative strategies for mission accomplishment.

Skilled in preparing and briefing logistics support plans and annexes. Competent in writing, designing, formatting, publishing, and presenting specific assigned work to peers and immediate supervisors at workshops or special committee meetings.

Additional Qualifications

Must have expertise in one or more of the following: logistics systems, tools, assessments of existing supply chains, implementation and change strategies, life-cycle impact analyzes, facility and location consolidations, and transportations modeling. Incumbent must possess working knowledge of office software and IT systems, to include
