Our client is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States. Their team includes passionate professionals, consultants, and volunteers who work on programs focused on education, advocacy, and research.

Our client seeks an enthusiastic professional with excellent communications and marketing skills and an affinity for advancing EV adoption. In this new role, you will report to the director of communications and marketing, have the potential to manage one staff member, and support stakeholders across the organization. You must be willing to take direction, show initiative, and work independently on projects in a dynamic environment.
Our client’s communications and marketing department is critical to helping other departments succeed with their deliverables while also managing their projects.
To succeed as a Marketing Manager, you should have: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of marketing or communications experience, OR documented development of these skills.
Proficient in video creation, editing, execution, and directing.
Strong skills in digital marketing strategy, social media management using tools like Buffer or Hootsuite, and using graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce polished, on-brand content.
Demonstrated organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for electric vehicles.
It’s a Plus if you have: Spanish language proficiency.
Google Analytics and AdWords proficiency.
Basic SEO knowledge.
Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, Trello, or Asana.
Six months experience driving a plug-in vehicle.
Your responsibilities will include utilizing your skills and talents to perform the following successfully: Lead a multiyear paid digital EV education campaign, including interviewing EV drivers, selecting video testimonial candidates, and managing vendors.
Track key metrics for projects and funders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Create and contribute to marketing emails for EV education, volunteer recruitment, event promotion, and fundraising.
Utilize video editing and graphic design tools to produce engaging communication materials.
Oversee social media presence and manage paid social and search campaigns to educate audiences about EV benefits and incentives.
Ensure all communications reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion
Assist with the organization’s websites using WordPress and custom content management systems
Oversee monthly marketing reports
Other administrative and program support, as needed

Interview Process: There will be a short screening, and qualified applicants will be asked to complete a skills demonstration exercise that should take no more than 30 minutes, followed by a one-hour interview with the communications and marketing director and a 30-minute panel interview. Thank-you notes after interviews (not the screening) are highly valued.
