Engagement Consultant

Job Description: The Job/What You'll Do:

As an Engagement Consultant for the leading provider of holistic support for independent financial advisors, you'll join an elite sales team vital to successfully engage, or re-engage, relationships with advisors committed to meeting their client's financial wellness needs. In this high-impact role, you'll focus on uncovering, cultivating, and growing the sales opportunities which represent the biggest impact to AssetMark's strategic growth initiatives.

Engagement Consultants focus on re-engaging with existing advisor relationships whose use of the AssetMark platform has stalled and their production levels have significantly slowed, or, in some cases, come to a halt. Additionally, Engagement Consultants will support advisors who are newer to the AssetMark platform, but not entirely bought into taking advantage of the resources provided just yet, to position AssetMark as a key part of their client solution process moving forward. Advisors supported by the Engagement Consultant will span multiple territories with the over-arching goal of jump-starting the evolution of their businesses and fully taking advantage of all the benefits that AssetMark has to offer.

Through leveraging both new & enhanced capabilities, products, ideas, and support, you will inspire advisors to not only become the most impactful financial advisors they can be within their communities, but also set them on the right path in pursuing personal goals which they have established for the growth of their businesses. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing industry, you will be one of the integral first engagements during an Advisor's journey with AssetMark prior to launching them to the most appropriate team member who can best support them in continuing to accomplish their goals with AssetMark. The Engagement Consultant will be based in Chicago, Phoenix, or Encino and will have a hybrid work schedule of in-office and working from home. Expected travel to company and territory events is 30% for this position.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to any of our office locations in either Phoenix, AZ, Encino, CA, or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

Work within assigned territories to uncover opportunities for engaging, or re-engaging, with new and existing financial advisors through developing plans to re-start or increase production amongstthe advisor base.

Effectively identify and develop opportunities through AssetMark's Sales processes and Sales Enablement resources

Champion advisor growth and re-engagement initiatives while developing best practices for consulting with advisors who have experienced various challenges with the platform in the past

Conduct Territory Reviews with Ensemble Teams in the territories covered to determine where opportunities may lie and gain insight on advisor's previous experiences withAssetMark

Generate and execute on sales plans that complement corporate sales & marketing initiatives regarding both targeted and solution-based campaigns

Leverage corporate and regional events within the Division to encourage face-to-face interaction, strengthening engagement with yourself as the Engagement Consultant as well as other members of the sales organization.

Develop creative engagement and re-engagement prospecting campaigns, emphasizing our commitment to advisors in meeting the needs of their clients and growing their businesses

Coordinate a superior engagement, or re-engagement, experience in conjunction with our Business Development and Service Teams, through the implementation ofAssetMark'sSales Process Best Practices

Experience selling managed money platforms

Prior Salesforce.com experience

Education & Experience:

BA or BS (4-year degree)

4+ years of experience in the financial services industry.

2+ years in the AssetMark Regional Consultant, Engagement Consultant, Business Development Consultant, or Sales Consultant Role

Experience in face-to-face and phone-based sales

Extensive public speaking experience

FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 6, 63, and 65 or Series 7 and 66

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $55,000-$65,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
