OR Portland Position Requirements We are looking for a **Buyer** to join our **Procurement Team**! The person in this position will identify and work with suppliers to ensure adequate supply of high quality products for distribution, maintain established service levels for product in-stock, and assist with special order requests. We are looking for someone with great communication and organizational skills who can function as a team member within the Procurement Team and alongside other departments to achieve company goals.
Other duties include:
* Maintaining professional relationships with vendors
* Selecting product based on application to our market, product performance, and the sources of supply
* Negotiating prices and quantities based on customer order and overall market conditions
* Providing product and pricing information to the Sales Team and make recommendations as necessary.
* Performing other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED 2-3 years purchasing related experience with 1 year foodservice purchasing experience
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain or related area 3+ years purchasing related experience with 1+ years foodservice purchasing experience
