This Role…
As a Marketing Specialist, Direct Mail at ATD, you will report to our Director of Education and Enterprise Marketing Manager, supporting the broader Marketing department. This role will support ATD’s growing Education and Enterprise businesses.
Specifically, the key initiatives and responsibilities of this role include:
Managing direct mail marketing promotion, with audience segmentation, 3rd party audience selection, tailored messaging, and high-quality design
Writing concise and powerful marketing copy for primarily offline marketing channels such as print, DM, radio, OOO, signage and brochures
Manage updates to the Education catalog several times per year, to be used in digital and direct mail marketing channels.
Working regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing messages are accurate and up-to-date
Coordinating with in-house graphic designers to develop signs, catalogs and brochures, and with our in-house print manager to get direct mail printed and mailed.
Creating and maintaining project timelines in support of marketing campaigns
Creating and analyzing reports on campaign results
Manage outside agencies for any work our in-house team does not provide such as OO or radio.
About You...
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent relevant experience is required
At least 3-5 years of experience with:
Direct mail marketing
Creating and updating print materials on tight deadlines
Copywriting for marketing materials
Audience segmentation and messaging
An understanding of marketing strategies for marketing campaign fulfillment.
Problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills
Strong project management and communications skills
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities simultaneously
An eagerness and willingness to learn and grow in your profession

The marketing team is a 19-person team with deep expertise in varying product lines and marketing.
This is a collaborative team that works closely together to support ATD’s business objectives.
We work in cooperation with other departments to provide members and nonmembers with knowledge and understanding of ATD's products and services.
We also manage ATD's social media presence and engage with our global community of practitioners on all major social platforms.
