Job Description
Responsible for bolstering Newell’s internal analytical capabilities, shape methodologies, scope, and drive action on identified opportunities. In charge of articulating analysis and methods into common language, as well as working on everyday processes that generate data. Manage work with varied and complex datasets to organize, clean and conduct exploratory analysis. Observe, inquire, and manage new data streams (or adjustments to current streams) for improving data analysis. Follow methodology and code used for analysis on prior projects and replicate on new projects with similar data structures. Build and manage development of structures for recording and comparing model experiments. Observe, inquire, and manage new methodologies/code for upcoming projects and expanding prior projects. Assist in meetings with business stakeholders to both justify/explain model results and to use their knowledge/experience to inform model assumptions. Observe, inquire, and suggest new business opportunities strongly supported by data analysis. Manage the development of project readouts and external customer ready material that are backed by strong data analysis. Manage the creation and development of applications used by business teams. Manage and supervise Analyst direct report as they learn to implement the modeling algorithms to understand revenue drivers and create revenue forecasts and produce external customer-ready material for project readouts.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher (or foreign equivalent) in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related field, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Business Consultant and/or Business Analyst acting as an interface between business and technical team and creating business requirement documents. Must have at least 2 years of experience working with SQL and Excel functions such as VLOOKUP’s, match, and pivot tables. Must also have knowledge and/or experience with R and Python. Knowledge and/or experience could be gain during the course of studies. May work remotely 40% of the time.
