Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer

Investigate, develop, implement, integrate, test, and maintain algorithms in firmware and software on embedded systems (FPGAs, SoC, MPSoC, RFSoC, etc.) in domains including: Digital Signal Processing
Machine Learning
Satellite Geolocation
Electromagnetic Interference Detection and Classification
Perform requirements analysis and provide feedback to ensure system capabilities and performance meet customer needs
Assist with technical planning, system integration, field verification/validation, evaluation of alternatives, and delivery
Document efforts surrounding embedded systems designs, deliveries, and performance
Collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work
Required Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
15 years' experience with embedded hardware and/or embedded software.
US Citizenship required; must be able to obtain/maintain a secret clearance with the ability to eventually obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
Experience with Digital Logic Design and simulation for FPGAs.
Experience with software development for microcontroller or embedded processing platforms (such as ARM).
Strong understanding of embedded firmware and software principles, development, and documentation.
Proficiency with Hardware Definition Language (Verilog preferred).
Proficiency with the C programming language.
Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills and to work across domains with minimal supervision.
Self-starter with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience with: Machine Learning
Digital Signal Processing
Software Defined Radios
SATCOM
Geolocation
SATCOM EMI detection and classification
Experience developing, integrating, and testing on SoC, MPSoC, or RFSoC architectures.
Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Proficiency with Python, C++, TCL, Linux, Vitis, or Vivado.
Familiarity with Scrum and/or Agile.
Proficiency with Git, Jira, or similar.
Proficiency with integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
