A licensed Texas attorney with 3-6 years of experience focusing on complex business litigation performed in a large firm setting.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Associate based in their Dallas, TX office for a hybrid opening. This position will work with the firms Business Litigation group.Experience should include breach of contract, fraud, partnership and shareholder disputes and fiduciary litigation relating to high value estates.
Responsibilities :
Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
Draft pleadings and other case documents.
Attend hearings.
Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Strong organization and matter management skills.
Ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associate and Support Staff.
Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
Familiarity with and ability to prepare basic and complex litigation documents; and
Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Bar in Texas in good standing.
3-6 years of experience in business litigation law with a mid-size or large law firm.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Able to submit law school transcripts and a writing sample.
