THE JOB

VIP Lead is full-time with benefits and oversees the day-to-day operations of VIP Services and VIP upgrade sales for concerts at House of Blues New Orleans, in the historic French Quarter. Overall this job is to create exceptional experiences for VIP clients and Foundation Members, from their first contact with us until the moment they leave the venue. This position will directly report to the venue Music Hall Director and VIP Manager.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

I. Sales

Generate revenue via prospecting incoming leads and pre-show outreach to ticket holders

Supervise and sell Reserved VIP Seat Upgrades, Foundation Room VIP Club Access, Priority Entry & various premium upgrade products & experiences to General Admission concert patrons on nights of shows

Build strong relationships with VIP clients

Maintain articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with current audience

Negotiate and close VIP Music Hall sales

Network with VIP clients to develop referrals, encourage repeat business, and sell Memberships

Optimize all Music Hall inventory for up-sell opportunities

Assist with VIP up-sell communications and marketing initiatives

II. Sales Strategies and Reports

Track VIP sales and pricing trends to increase revenue and meet per show sales goals

Prepare and send end of show VIP Financials to send to the portfolio

Assist with sales initiatives given by General Manager and National VIP Sales Director

III. Management

Oversee day to day operations of VIP Hosts

Coordinate operations on night of shows with Ops Director, servers, and security to ensure premium experiences are delivered.

Supervise nightly VIP setup to include Check In, VIP seating areas, VIP table top personalization and VIP area signage as needed

Maintain exemplary and professional grooming standards

Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue

Responsible for leading and training the NOS VIP team

Maintain relationships with all internal departments

Participate in weekly meetings to be knowledgeable about upcoming shows

Responsible for opening and closing each show properly

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

Previous experience handling VIP customers

Previous Customer Service/Host experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Positive attitude and objective viewpoint on tasks/goals

Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently

Working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations,

Problem solving skills

Skill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork

Ability to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacy

Confident communicator, able to present information in a non-aggressive and candid manner

Must have a flexible schedule

High School Diploma

Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS

Experience with SevenRooms a plus

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

Working environment is fast-paced and loud

Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
