Senior Project Manager - Geotechnical Construction

Major Function
The Senior Project Manager plays a crucial role in managing projects, focusing on safe, quality production, and client satisfaction. The primary responsibility is to adhere to corporate philosophy, ensuring favorable economic outcomes. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role involves coordinating budgets, labor, and equipment with the Vice President of Operations, overseeing the selection and utilization of project personnel.
Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Assess the scope of work and required resources during initial client contact.
Prepare comprehensive project estimates, considering specifications, drawings, and project details.
Supervise the construction effort, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative tasks.
Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings, recommend construction methods, and manage extra work estimating.
Assume responsibility for contractual performance.
Lead interdepartmental teams to complete projects on time and to specifications.
Conduct cost analysis, prepare budgets, and conduct risk assessments.
Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams.
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices.
Perform additional assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience
4-year engineering degree or equivalent with eight years of construction management experience.
Thorough knowledge of construction, craft agreements, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
Strong analytical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
Understanding of construction law, particularly in federal, state, and city contexts.
Experience with government services, contract administration, and procurement.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong oral and written communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, responsive, and able to exercise independent judgment.
Thorough understanding of project or product development.
Physical Demands
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Regular use of telephone and email.
Extended periods of sitting.
Normal hearing, vision, and speaking.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Good manual dexterity.
Good reasoning ability.
Work Environment
Primarily outdoors on construction sites.
Site visits and field project visits are required.
Travel to offices and projects as needed.
Job site environment with machinery, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, and fumes.
Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions and uneven ground.
Work schedules may vary, with the potential for extra hours and on-call responsibilities.
