Software Engineer

Design, develop, test, modify, implement, integrate, and customize web front-end, and back-end web-based applications on Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento)
Work with business teams to discuss, recommend, explain, and reconcile desired functionality and technology capabilities around Adobe Commerce (Magento).
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the PHP and Laravel framework and help build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
Integration of custom created as well as marketplace extensions with Adobe Commerce.
Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
Work on RESTful APIs / AJAX / XML / JSON
Perform requirements reviews with the product owner, business stakeholders and IT.
Work with client Project Managers and Product Owners to prioritize and plan work assignments.
Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements, and schedule.
Provide status reporting of team activities against the plan or schedule, inform task accomplishment, issues and status.
Work closely with client and development teams to ensure timely delivery.
Perform code reviews, to minimize security risks, improve system performance and maintain high quality of code.
Act as liaison with offshore software development team.
Requirements:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a related field.
Work Experience Requirements: 2 years of experience in the offered position, or in the alternate job title of Sr. Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
Skill Set Requirements: 2 years in the following skill set:
PHP, Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento), Laravel Framework
RESTful APIs. AJAX, XML, JSON

Job Site:
Job is currently located in Cranbury, NJ but may require medium to long-term relocation to either Pittsburgh, PA, or other unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. The position is 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
