HeartFlow, Inc. is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product-an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the HeartFlow FFRCT Analysis-provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient's coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. HeartFlow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.

HeartFlow is a VC-backed, pre-IPO company that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 250,000 patients worldwide.

HeartFlow is on a mission to defeat Heart Disease. We are doing this by transforming the way we diagnose and treat heart disease by combining deep clinical insights with cutting-edge AI. HeartFlow's technology has been adopted globally, with over 250,000 patients benefiting from its AI-driven non-invasive heart disease diagnosis. The technology is supported by extensive clinical research, published in more than 500 peer-reviewed articles. HeartFlow is now available at more than 90% of top Heart hospitals in the US with growing presence in EU, UK and Japan. We are a pre-IPO company, poised for profitability with a robust roadmap and financial runway. Joining us now offers a unique opportunity to be part of our journey to the public markets, alongside a team that is passionate about innovation and excellence in the healthcare sector. #LI-Remote; #LI-IB1

Why this team?

The product and design team at Heartflow is tasked with creatively discovering and relentlessly delivering novel, AI-powered software solutions that help our cardiologist and radiologist customers serve heart patients with greater speed, accuracy, and efficiency. This team is responsible for Heartflow's entire FDA-approved product portfolio that includes FFRct, Roadmap analysis and Plaque Analysis. We also design and manage software tools used internally for case processing, customer service, and R&D.

What you'll focus on:

Optimize Internal Tools: Focus on designing software solutions that help internal users, particularly case analysts, to perform their roles in analyzing and QA-ing HeartFlow analysis as efficiently, intuitively, and accurately as possible. This involves creating user-centric designs that streamline complex processes and reduce cognitive load, thereby enhancing productivity and job satisfaction.

Enhance External User Workflows: Work on designing software workflows that enable external clinical users to derive utility from HeartFlow products with minimal clicks and interactions. Your goal will be to reduce the time it takes for these users to achieve their objectives, thereby improving user conversion rates and satisfaction.

What you will do day-to-day: Create UX Deliverables: Produce detailed wireframes, user flows, and mockups that effectively communicate design intentions to stakeholders and development teams.

Conduct User Research: Engage directly with both internal and external customers to conduct user research and usability studies.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineering and other cross-functional teams to translate designs into functional software.

What you'll sometimes: Develop and Maintain Design Systems: Utilize Figma to develop and maintain a comprehensive design system that ensures consistency and quality across all platforms and touchpoints.

Advocate for UX Best Practices: Champion user experience best practices and maintain a strong command of industry trends.

Why is this role important?

As a Senior UX Designer at HeartFlow, you will lead the charge in creating intuitive, scalable, and engaging user experiences for the web for both internal and external users. Your work will directly impact internal user efficiency improving Heartflow's bottom line and margins.

Your work will directly contribute to the seamless integration of our clinical products, directly impacting the lives of patients along with Heartflow's top line revenue.

What we're looking for: Experience in UX design for web applications, with a strong portfolio that includes work on complex, data-heavy, and workflow centric applications.

Experience with front-end development technologies like Vue.js, Quasar, and responsive design principles.

Experience in healthcare, finance or similarly regulated industries.

Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with other UX tools such as Miro, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Some background in 3D modeling is preferred, adding a unique dimension to your skill set.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs based on user feedback and analytics.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas to stakeholders both internally and externally.

Educational background: A BA/BS degree in Design, HCI, Interactive media, design, or a related field is required.

At least 5 years of professional experience in UX design, particularly in environments where quick prototyping and agile development are practiced.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $100,000 to $152,500 (for all locations outside San Francisco Bay Area) and $130,000 to $180,250 (for San Francisco Bay Area), cash bonus, and stock options.
