Description
THE POSITION : The Operations Manager position fulfills the mission of the Catholic parish and school by working with the Principal and Operations Director to coordinate the many events and tasks to operate the school, as well as managing the compliance requirements for parish and school employees and volunteers within the framework of the parish and school's philosophy and organization. The Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring all individuals employed or volunteering have completed all requirements as directed by the Archdiocese of Denver and/or Good Shepherd Parish and School. The position is hired and evaluated by the principal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of Denver
Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Faculty Handbook
Assists Principal, Operations Director, and School Office Secretary with necessary day-to-day tasks
Manages and maintains school databases
Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
Ensures that all compliant requirements for volunteers and employees are current and up-to-date
Fills out all forms and reports as required by the State of Colorado and the Archdiocese of Denver
Meets staff development guidelines as set forth by the Archdiocese of Denver and local administration
Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
Works in a team environment and encourages open communication regarding concerns/issues with children, parents and co-workers.
Ensures that all staff and children are respectful of school property; ensures all school rules are followed
Additional duties assigned by the principal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to maintain current CPR and 1st Aid certifications
Ability to pass Criminal Record Background Clearance with no exemptions
Maintain good physical health with the ability to perform job duties, lift 30 pounds, move quickly, bend, squat, kneel, sit on floor, reach overhead
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members, to accept supervision and to help promote a positive environment
Excellent verbal communication skills, including clear speech enunciation, and accurate spoken English grammar that can serve as a good model for children who are developing their language skills
Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to present to groups and individuals about the organization's mission

Must complete all classes/seminars as directed by Good Shepherd Catholic School and the Archdiocese of Denver
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis
Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and dishwashing
Required to monitor students
Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of anger
