About the opportunity: Civil Structural Engineer
We are currently seeking a full-time Civil Structural Engineer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Civil/Structural team, which is responsible for structural designs in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.
Responsibilities include:
Prepares models, drawings, and design sketches based on design needs.
Prepares computer analyses and calculations with appropriate guidance.
Creates department specific technical specifications based on similar documents written by others.
Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work.
Works within engineering schedules and budgets. Monitors and reports progress against plan.
Consults with a more senior with a more senior engineer to ensure vendor submittals meet intended use. Coordinates multi-discipline review of vendor submittals.
Conducts field work as needed.
Minimum requirements:
Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from a four-year ABET accredited college.
Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
3-5 years of related work experience preparing construction documents in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
Valid driver’s License.
E.I.T strongly encouraged.
