Join our team as a Payroll Specialist and play a crucial role in shaping the employee experience at Improveit Home Remodeling.
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for timely, accurate, and compliantly processing payroll.
+ Responsible for daily pay of subcontractors.
+ Processes employee Time & Attendance data to payroll and reconcile variances. Approve and release time in the time system.
+ Is the payroll expert, and provides training as needed to ensure compliance and full utilization of tools.
+ Process daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly bonuses.
+ Accurate reporting of time and bonus in operating system
+ Process commissions and commission reconciliation.
+ Responsible for month-end duties including approving payroll and benefit-related invoices and ensuring timely payment, submitting payroll accrual, and general ledger reconciliation.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
+ Generate and maintain payroll reports for record-keeping and auditing purposes.
+ Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
+ Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and update payroll procedures accordingly.
+ Occasional accounting tasks, as needed.
Required Skills:
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information and other proprietary details.
+ Understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
+ Knowledge of payroll administration.
+ Effective time management and communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Keen ability to establish priorities and multi-task.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Experience with Paylocity, a plus.
+ Accounting experience, a plus.
Qualifications/Education:
+ 3-5 years of Payroll experience
