Specific Responsibilities
This is a hands on role that will provide technical direction to a team of talented Services Engineers, delivering innovative solutions to our customers. Responsibilities include working closely with customers to define specific business requirements, architect and implement solutions, while collaborating with the Services and Product teams to drive architectural decisions, project direction, priorities and overall customer success. The successful candidate will be adept at delivering complex solutions that are on time and on budget.

Qualifications:
Requirements: Minimum/Core
Practical experience and solid understanding of the Linux operating system and Unix tools
Practical experience with at least one of the following: Groovy, Python, Ruby, Perl
Understanding of big data technologies: Hadoop, Storm, HBase, Cloudera, Hortonworks
Experience writing MapReduce jobs
Working knowledge of SQL databases
Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a Professional Services organization
Experience with ETL pipelines or Tools
Extensive experience with enterprise, object-oriented software language such as Java (SE) , C++, C#
Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
Experience leading technical teams
Ability to plan and execute projects with minimal oversight
Experience gathering and analyzing requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 7 years industry experience as a Software Engineer and/or Tech Lead
Nice to have
PhD or MS degree in Computer Science
Interest in Machine Learning, especially NLP
Familiarity with cloud infrastructures, such as Amazon EC2 or Rackspace Cloud
Knowledge of web application frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails
Experience in the Financial Services industry
