**Medical Assistant Manager**
Country Doctor Community Health Centers (CDCHC) is a not for profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an after-hours clinic, school-based health centers, and a dental clinic. The Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded by the Seattle Black Panther Party 50 years ago in Seattles Central District. The Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by the residents of the Capitol Hill community to provide affordable and comprehensive primary health care services. Our founding principles of social justice live on today. We care for patients from around the region and the world, of all ages, gender identities, and abilities, including people with and without health insurance. Our staff work with a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and dynamic individuals who share our commitment to health equity.
**Country Doctor Community Clinic (CDCC)** is hiring a passionate and mission-driven Medical Assistant Manager that will continue the work of social justice and health equity in the Capitol Hill Community. The Medical Assistant Manager will support and inspire our Medical Assistants as they continue to grow while promoting an atmosphere of openness and honesty, and working to make health care accessible to the residences in Seattles Capitol Hill District and beyond.
**Position Summary:**
The Medical Assistant Manager provides oversight for the day-to-day functioning of the clinic and will create and maintain the clinic schedule that facilitation operations and direct supervision and support to the Medical Assistants. The Medical Assistant Manager will ensure that we continuously provide high-quality care to an ethnically diverse patient population.
**Responsibilities:**
Responsibilities include staff management and supervision, compliance, and building relationships through customer service. In collaboration with the Clinic Manager, Clinical Directors, Providers, Department Supervisors, and Clinic Administrative Support, this position implements, manages, and maintains CDCHCs values, goals and objectives with an emphasis placed on the delivery of quality patient care. In addition, the Medical Assistant Manager is responsible for in-the-moment problem-solving to facilitate the smooth functioning of the clinic on any given day, involving nurses and providers as needed for appropriate clinical support/input. The Clinic Manager supervises this position.
The Medical Assistant Manager works within a multi-disciplinary health care team, supporting the clinic goals of quality care and patient satisfaction by:
Serving as a clinical and supervisory resource to Medical Assistants and other clinic staff
Promoting a positive work experience for support staff and a positive patient experience
Working with the Medical Assistant Leads and Preceptors to hire, orient and train new staff
Performing staff evaluation and needed progressive disciplinary actions
Work with MA Preceptors to coordinate MA Externs, including interview, assessments, and approval to hire upon completion of MA licensure
Planning and facilitating staff meetings, training, and team-building activities
Monitoring staff schedules, including review of time off requests to ensure adequate staffing is available to deliver quality care
Team problem solving to ensure smooth clinic operation
Assisting providers with routine and complex patient care
Coordinate patient care
Develop clinic protocols and provide training on implementation
Oversee the daily functioning of the clinic systems, including, but not limited to, medical supplies, materials, and equipment.
**Education/Training/Experience:**
WA State MA License and two years of MA experience required
High school diploma required, BA/BS preferred
At least three years of supervisory experience in a primary care setting
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, and various computer software programs and electronic health records
Experience working with an electronic health record- EPIC preferred
Experience in a multi-cultural environment providing care to the medically underserved population
Strong interpersonal and effective problem-solving skills

**Salary:**
$28.34 $39.77; based on experience, this is an hourly, full-time position.
**Benefits:**

Benefits include the choice of three medical plans (2 PPO and 1 HMO) (basic medical benefits are covered at 100% for employees and 75% for dependent children).
