Qualifications/Requirements: Ph.D. in Plant Systematics, with training in modern DNA techniques; strongly prefer broad training in botany, with commitment to teaching an array of undergraduate and graduate courses, and interests in field botany and taxonomy; ABS candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities: Teach 12 semester credit hours per semester (usually three courses); course reduction for active research. Courses can include, but not limited to, General Botany, Biology for Majors I and II, Plants and People, Plant Systematics, Field Botany, Plant Taxonomy, and other advanced courses. Establishment of an externally funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.
