Apiphani is looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our team as we build the next generation of tools for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). We are a Boston-based, remote-friendly company building software to transform and disrupt managed application services.
About Luumen:
Apiphani manages enterprise-grade workloads for some of the largest companies in the world and we are building the Luumen platform to help us do it. Luumen has both internal facing tools that our team uses in their daily work, such as automating application and system level functions, and an external facing portal for our clients that streamlines interactions with Apiphani. Within Luumen, users can view a broad spectrum of data and actions, such as monitoring data and usage statistics of their cloud-based application workloads. Luumen is built on top of a modern tech stack with ReactJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, TypeScript, MongoDB and is hosted on AWS.
We're looking for:
A senior software developer who;
Understands how to build out systems from scratch. You are confident communicating about hard technical challenges, and comfortable collaborating on complex technical product decisions with stakeholders and team members.
Can take ownership of different product domains to not just deploy new functionality but devise plans to maintain and monitor it post-deployment.
You can ship software features efficiently and on-time.
Possesses strong organization and documentation skills with the ability to periodically jump in to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical infrastructure requirements
Can dig into details to ensure successful execution while understanding the strategic level impact of the work
Requirements:
Based in Boston, MA
US Citizen or permanent resident (driven by regulatory and customer requirements)
As a plus:
Distributed systems experience (e.g. AWS Lambda, ECS Containers, AWS CDK, etc.)
Enterprise IT experience (Enterprise Linux, SAP, other ERP applications, etc.)
Experience at an early-stage venture-backed startup
Computer science or software engineering background
Experience with LLMs, AI Agents, or similar
Experience or knowledge of building APM-style agents
Base Salary
$140,000—$160,000 USD
