As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer & Community Banking and Authentication team, you play a crucial role in improving, developing, and delivering reliable, top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, your responsibilities include promoting vital technology solutions across numerous technical domains within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business goals.

Job responsibilities

+ Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.

+ Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.

+ Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.

+ Code, design, and testing in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.

+ Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing capabilities.

+ Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.

+ Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P.Morgan technologies and infrastructure.

+ Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.

+ Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

+ Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

+ Formal training or certification on Web UI Software development, Web UI fundamentals & Architecture and related technologies and 5+ years applied experience.

+ Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

+ Strong knowledge and experience on Javascript, Java, Web Framework.

+ Strong exposure to React, Angular, Javascript and related technologies.

+ Strong knowledge and experience on Testing Automation, such as BDD, Cucumber, etc.

+ Strong knowledge and experience on performance profiling.

+ Good experience in Single Page App development using React for creating interactive UI's, Virtual DOM, Component life cycle, React, JSX, React Router ecosystem and concepts.

+ Good experience in Application development in TypeScript or JavaScript and its code rules.

+ Good experience in customizing CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation using CSS.

+ Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

+ Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

+ Overall deep experience in delivering technology solutions.

+ Extensive web development experience.

+ Expert level experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.

+ Experience with Jenkins or similar tools.

+ Practical cloud native experience.

+ Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
