In this role, you will:
Manage outside consulting firm and leverage those resources when needed
Prepare detailed financial reports
Develop and follow accounting policies and procedures
Manage AR and AP
Reconcile cash, all bank accounts, receivables, payables, accruals and inventory on a monthly basis
Process payments and conduct daily banking activities
Balance GL by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management
Process employee business-related expense reports and reimbursements
Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process
Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Evaluate accounting and internal control systems
Work cross-functionally to support grant applications and drive grant compliance
Assist in coordination of tax compliance
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics

You have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field of study with substantial coursework in Accounting); Masters in Accounting or MBA a plus; CPA Preferred
Must have experience in a manufacturing environment and/or a life sciences company
Proven experience in an Accounting role with demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
Solid understanding of day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, GL, inventory management, and monthly- and year-end closing principles and procedures
Confident in all main Microsoft Office applications (eg Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP; experience with system implementation a plus
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly, superb attention to detail, interest in scientific discovery, a great sense of humor and creativity
For this position, the base pay range is: $175,000-$225,000 per year. Enumerix considers various factors, including professional background and work experience, when determining base pay. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
