What you get to do:
Responsible for managing multiple operational outlets within a division and/or a specialized business support area.
Responsible for labor management, including but not limited to, establishing and maintaining line schedules, authorizing position requisitions, hiring, monitoring labor expenses in correlation to revenue, and ensuring accuracy of ambassadors' payroll records.
Responsible for managing ambassador performance ensuring appropriate ambassador training, providing formal and informal feedback on performance, and making recommendations related to progressive discipline.
Maintains and tracks revenue and/or expenses; tracks sales data, manages per caps, budget and revenue.
Demonstrate ownership of assigned area through responsibility of facility performance, acting with integrity and professionalism, following through on commitments and making educated decision with a sense of urgency.
Work with Assistant Supervisors in assigned areas to perform opening, operating, and closing procedures exceeding established department standards while leading and enforcing all department and park policies and procedures.
Communicate clearly and often. Inform area leadership of key issues, maintain communications with Assistant Supervisors and Manager and conduct daily communications with ambassadors.
Foster adaptability within your assigned work group/area. Lead by example in an ever-changing climate, be open and set the example for willingness to new ideas and opportunities.
Embrace and positively communicate change; always with a sense of urgency.
Lead and inspire ambassadors to include Assistant Supervisors in self-development. Identify individual skill levels and provide opportunities to enhance individual performance. Actively seek out self-development opportunities to grow skill level and increase knowledge experience.
Provide timely and meaningful performance feedback to ambassadors in your charge. Track performance history and seek Salaried Managers assistance as needed. Complete yearly performance appraisals as required.
Assists department leadership in establishing an environment that promotes personal development of self and others, creating high morale amongst entire team and sets the example for development.
Creates an inspiring, collaborative, innovative and results-orientated location environment fostering guest service, job satisfaction, and retention and talent development.
Interact with guest by greeting them and providing excellent service in an efficient and courteous manner.
Work in a team environment and interact with others in a professional manner.
Manages inventory and orders from onsite warehouse.
Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
Responsible for the development of OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching.
Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures.
Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve.
Maintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as needed.
Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards.
Follow park protocol in emergency situations and attend to ambassadors.
Track information to complete daily and weekly reports.
Report toleadership regarding the status of ongoing projects and completed assignments.
Assists department with other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed:
At least 16 years of age
Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred.
Must have a minimum of six (6) months park leadership experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period or equivalent external experience.
Must have a strong operational background to include overseeing rides, stadiums, day park quality and/or guest arrival.
Must possess basic computer/ Window’s software knowledge.
Must have excellent English communication skills both written and oral. Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members.
Must be able to perform job duties/tasks of positions within scope of supervision and willing to perform tasks when business level require.
Must be available at least 5 days and work a flexible schedule/ hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines to include CPR/AED Training.
Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Must be a role model for SEA safety, guest service, cleanliness and grooming standards.
Provide excellent service to guests and ambassadors.
Ability to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
Promote and ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and fellow ambassadors.
Position engages in extensive walking, standing, and/or sitting throughout the entire work shift and climb/ascend heights to include climbing stairs/ladders.
Perform all cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals.
Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Texas weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces
Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning
Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
Able to train on and properly use protective gear
Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
