About the Role Splunk is seeking a Front End Sr. Software Engineer to join the effort in developing Security Products and Applications on Cloud. You will get to work with a super smart bunch of folks doing state-of-the-art development work in both the front-end and back-end. You will be interacting with product management, customers, and other engineering teams across Splunk to understand detailed requirements. We give our engineers an environment in which they can contribute from day one while also providing opportunities for learning and growth. You’ll learn how our entire stack works – from data ingestion, storage, search, and analytics to implementing dashboards and tools to support operational requirements. Requirements: 8+ years of experience building highly scalable front-end applications
Expertise in Technical Design that leads to ease of Customer Experience
Strong front-end development skills, particularly in JavaScript and React. A good understanding of CSS3 and HTML5 is required.
Can work with systems E2E and has a good understanding of RESTful API and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver the systems.
Passionate about developer productivity and code modularity & reusability
Experience in architecting holistic user interfaces that drive complex applications
Doesn’t shy away from writing Unit Tests and Functional tests
Thinks about customer user experience keeping performance in mind.
Knowledge of React/Redux or equivalent technologies.
Proven ability to develop and lead moderate complexity features or sub-systems.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and mentor junior team members
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience collaborating with UX design, product and cross-functional engineering teams
Full web stack development experience is a plus, but not essential
BS CS/EE or equivalent work experience
Other attributes that could excite us... Familiarity with Typescript and GraphQL
Knowledge of NodeJS fundamentals
Experience with full-stack applications and backend, API design skills
Accessibility Experience
Experience with Webpack, Yarn, Babel and/or other build tools
Experience with Gitlab configuration or other CI/CD tools
Experience with creating interactive data visualizations

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $174,800.00 - 240,350.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $157,320.00 - 216,315.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $139,840.00 - 192,280.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
