A Health and Safety Professional w orks under the direction of the Health & Safety Manager. As a WRS Health & Safety Professional you are responsible to promote safe work practice and provide well-planned accident prevention techniques.

Your Responsibilities
• Have knowledge of crews’ work, schedule, and scope of work.
• Prepare documentation and write incident reports as needed.
• Establish and maintain a safety orientation program for new employees to cover key safety points and practices as well as job safety instructions for all employees.
• Coordinate and conduct morning safety meetings on a daily basis.
• Investigate all accidents.
• Ensure that regular job-site audits and inspections are conducted and documented.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Prompt follow-through to obtain corrective action on causes of accidents, including safety suggestions made by employees.
• Respond, control and arrange transport if medical emergencies occur.
• Case management if employee injuries occur.
• Enforce all local, state, federal, company and client safety regulations.
• Inspect and maintain all PPE to ensure that all company and client requirements are met.
• Be a team player.
• Be professional and set an example for others to follow.
Your Experience & Qualifications
Education/Experience
Associate Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
OR 5+ years safety related education/training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions.
Ability to write correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, WRS management and other employees.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to problem solve in various situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
OSHA 30
OSHA 510
HAZWOPER
Rigging Trained
Confined Space Trained
Other certificates as needed per site.
