Position Summary
At Sourcepass, we are revolutionizing the way customers interact with IT through our cutting-edge proprietary customer platform. Much of our vision depends on leveraging our existing data to empower our customers through technology. We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and statistical modeling, with proven experience working with data from Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) aggregated into an Azure Data Lake environment. This role involves working closely with Azure Synapse to create efficient data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows and delivering insights that will drive our strategic decisions. If you are interesting in expanding your experience into cutting edge AI technology such as OpenAI, Sourcepass will provide that opportunity through our R&D department. Your expertise will help us create an IT experience that our customers truly love. The salary for this position is $90,000 + (negotiable based on experience).
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement ETL processes to aggregate data from multiple ISVs into our Azure Data Lake
Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics to create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines
Perform data exploration and data mining to uncover insights and identify business opportunities
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets
Communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in data science and big data analytics
Ensure data integrity and compliance with data privacy and security policies
Desired Skillset/Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably with exposure to Azure cloud services
Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis languages
Experience with Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics is highly preferred
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and statistical analysis
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
