Your Role: Veterinary Key Account Manager, US Farm Animal
As a Veterinary Key Account Manager, you will lead and manage strategic business relationships with the largest and most influential cattle veterinary clinics in the USA. The focus of this role will be a mutual advancement and improvement of both our customers' and Elanco's businesses. You will achieve this by leveraging strategic account management techniques, tailored offerings, and the extensive Elanco cattle product portfolio.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic account management plans to ensure mutual growth and improvement for both our customers and Elanco businesses.
Build relationships and broaden networks within customer organizations to enable Elanco to influence decisions at senior management levels.
Develop and deliver actionable plans for joint efforts between customers and Elanco.
Utilize your expertise in the cattle industry to identify opportunities and develop tailored offerings that address the specific needs of our customers.
Actively listen to identify customer objectives and priorities more accurately.
Grow the share and relevance of Elanco with this important and growing business segment through effective negotiations.
Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of account plans and initiatives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge.
Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, providing them with insights, guidance, and support to help them achieve their business goals.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services to customers, ensuring their understanding and buy-in.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, support strategic actions, and collaborate with customers in developing and maintaining joint performance scorecards to enhance our customer-centric approach.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, animal science, veterinary medicine).
Required Experience: Proven experience in strategic account management, preferably in the cattle industry.
In-depth knowledge of the cattle industry, including veterinary clinics, market dynamics, and customer needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
