Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Creates, manages, and oversees the DC Control system master plan. Supports plans and initiatives to maintain system performance. Executes planned outages and troubleshooting, including the execution of corrective action across all relevant lines . Develops and maintains relationships with other departments, vendors, and key stakeholders. Identifies and communicates goals and objectives. Builds accountability for and measures progress to achieve results. Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities. Demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.

Ensures business needs are met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Develops the skills and abilities of site associates. Creates and facilitates training content and programs, including Associate Work Instruction development and creation. Participates in internal and external recruiting initiatives to fill staffing opportunities. Consults with business partners, managers, co-workers, and other key stakeholders. Solicits, evaluates, and applies suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Manages multiple projects within Operations by defining scopes of work and project objectives (for example, owning the programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial PCs, controls communication, and Human-to-Machine Interfaces. Establishes project activities, deliverables, milestones, and timelines. Coordinates planning activities (for example, business requirements, risk assessments, target dates) and assembles management plans. Tracks plan changes and ensures the resolution of critical issues. Identifies the resources needed for project completion. Delivers presentations, status reports, and other project documentation to internal stakeholders and external suppliers at regular intervals.

Troubleshoots and analyzes operational processes, automation equipment, and case flow nonconformities. Leads root cause analysis and drives equipment reliability and process stability. Supports control system resolution. Engages cross-functional departments and vendor teams as necessary.

Evaluates and manages control systems performance, utilization, and capacities. Creates and leverages detailed reporting to understand system performance and implements continuous improvement projects around employee performance and system operations.

Partners and maintains transparent relationships with customers and other vendor contacts to enable maximum system performance. Champions technology improvements to current platform standards to reduce effort, increase productivity, and accelerate business goals.

Leads the process improvement of control system architecture, change management, and the development and integration of electrical and control systems for automation equipment on product and packaging initiatives, capacity, and savings projects.

Observes DC electrical safety and power systems and recovery by monitoring and ensuring department performance related to training, implementation, execution, and change management (for example, power systems and recovery plans).

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Talent: Supervise Associates: Provides specific, honest, accurate, and timely feedback on associate performance. Assigns tasks to associates that fit their skill levels and maximize team performance. Uses people processes (for example, selection, development, performance evaluation) to ensure effective associate performance. Recruits and hires the associates needed to meet business requirements. Plans and manages own and others' time, based on business priorities, and follows up to ensure all work requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Identifies and obtains the resources needed to complete projects. Encourages associates to strive for excellence, efficiency, and quality in work practices.

Planning and Improvement: Plan and Pursue Team-Based: Improvement Coordinates and aligns planning with organizational initiatives and direction. Looks at work plans and makes changes, as needed, to achieve team or work group objectives. Sets realistic timelines for goal accomplishment. Recommends ideas or approaches based on PSP sustainability values and goals that would further improve operations and outcomes. Uses sustainability information to promote organizational success while improving social, economic, and environmental practices. Teaches Associates in area of responsibility how to handle and respond to community partners' questions and concerns regarding PSP sustainability values, efforts, and goals, including steps to take when they don't know the answer to give. Provides advice and guidance to Associates on those behaviors and actions that are consistent with PSP sustainability values and goals (for example, reducing waste, saving energy, demonstrating work-related Personal Sustainability Practices).

Associate Engagement: Ensures Associates understand and participate in the grass roots process year-round. Ensures Associates implement action plans developed in response to Associate Opinion Survey results and tracks these efforts over time. Implements programs designed to support and enhance Associate health and well-being by taking action to minimize or eliminate problematic issues. Encourages and rewards Associate engagement behaviors that contribute to the achievement of Facility and own goals. Consistently promotes the importance and value of Associate engagement by implementing processes and practices designed to improve engagement and enhance operations.
